Exporting

Choose File > Export or press Command+E / Ctrl+E. Select WAV or MIDI, then choose Project, Loop, or Custom bars as the range. Loop is disabled when no loop exists. Custom start and end bars must be whole numbers, start at 1 or later, and end after the start.

Choose a destination file, then Export. You can Cancel while rendering and Reveal in folder after completion.

WAV

WAV export produces stereo 16-bit PCM audio. Export is blocked when the project has no audible content, has zero length, all tracks are muted, or the sample rate is invalid. PianoForge warns about missing presets, very short output, and projects of ten minutes or more.

WAV data is handed to the file writer in bounded chunks. The destination is replaced only after the complete write succeeds. Cancelling a transfer removes the partial temporary file and preserves any previous completed export.

MIDI

MIDI export includes notes and drums from audible tracks and respects mute and solo state. It does not contain audio clips or rendered instrument sound. Drum notes use the standard drum channel; melodic tracks use other channels.
